We've been celebrating Seuss' birthday for awhile! Here are a few of our festivities:
All week long, we've been reading LOTS of Dr. Seuss books! We've also watched, "The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss" and a Dr. Seuss cartoon series on Netflicks...Hudson LOVED them both!
We went to a Dr. Seuss birthday party with our friends, the Summits, at the mall! There were different crafty/ coloring activities, and we got to meet the Cat and the Hat!
We saw CYT's production of Seussical Jr. with GaGa, Papa, Nana, Kat and some friends! Hudson's cousin, Anna, was in the musical but the picture of them didn't really come out.
I made these "green eggs" out of white chocolate and green M&M's. So easy - just melt some white chocolate and use a spoon to pour a little on a baking mat or wax paper (so they can come off easily), and then, drop a green M&M into the chocolate. They took awhile to harden so I ended up letting them sit out all night to make sure they were nice and firm. We ate them during intermission of Seussical Jr!
And of course, we started Seuss' actual birthday by listening to Green Eggs and Ham (and other Seuss stories) on CD and eating yummy scrambled green eggs and diced ham! Hudson thought that was SO fun! He even said, "But I don't like green eggs and ham!" when I served them to him. Silly boy...he ate them and loved them!
He also made a Cat in the Hat hat picture of himself and is going to a Dr. Seuss Celebration at the library this evening with Nana, Kat and Reese. Dino O'Dell will be performing! He's going to love that! We're also making Cat in the Hat parfaits! Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss! I hope you enjoy celebrating today, too! How are YOU celebrating?
